Cameron Bailey has been the Artistic Director of the Toronto International Film Festival since 2008. He is responsible for the overall vision and execution of the festival's selection. Before assuming his current role, Bailey worked as journalist, film critic and a programmer for TIFF. In addition, he has programmed and hosted TIFF’s highly successful subscription series "Reel Talk," and headed TIFF’s "Perspective Canada" series as well as curated films for Cinematheque Ontario, the National Gallery of Canada, the National Film Board of Canada, and Australia’s Sydney International Film Festival. As the artistic director of one of the world’s biggest and most important film festivals, Bailey brings a comprehensive wealth of experience to his position, and under his lead the festival continues to grow in size and significance every year.
