Sedika Mojadidi

Independent filmmaker, producer, and writer, Sedika directed her first feature documentary, MOTHERLAND AFGHANISTAN for PBS’ Independent Lens in 2006. Sedika has produced and filmed television projects for over a decade. Her credits include: ABC News, The Discovery Channel, Guardian Multi-Media, Human Rights Watch, A&E, TLC, New York Times Television and the Food Network. Her writing was featured in the anthology of Afghan American writing, ONE STORY, THIRTY STORIES, winner of the 2012 Independent Book Publishers Silver Award for Best Anthology. She has traveled and filmed throughout Afghanistan since 2003 and speaks Farsi (Afghan Persian) fluently. Sedika was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and grew up in Florida.
