Thomas Ebeling

Thomas Ebeling was born in 1959. After earning a degree in psychology from Hamburg University, he began his career with Reemtsma in 1987. In 1991, he moved to Pepsi-Cola Germany, where he served as a marketing manager. Starting in 1994, he was National Sales and Franchise Director for the retail and restaurant sales of Pepsi-Cola, and in 1996, he was appointed General Manager of Pepsi-Cola Germany. In 1997, he switched to Novartis as General Manager of Novartis Nutrition for Germany and Austria. In 1998, Thomas Ebeling assumed worldwide leadership of the Novartis Nutrition Division. In 1998, he was appointed to the Novartis Executive Committee. From 2000 to October 2007, he served as CEO of the global Novartis pharmaceuticals business. Under his leadership, the company's revenues more than doubled from US$11 billion to US$22.6 billion. In October 2007, he was appointed CEO of the Novartis Consumer Health Division. Since March 2009, he is CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE. Thomas Ebeling was appointed to the Supervisory Board of Bayer AG in 2012. Since April 2017 he has been member of the Supervisory Board of GfK SE.

Alicia Vikander

Academy Award-winning actress Alicia Vikander is one of the most promising actors of her generation. Since making her film debut in PURE in 2009, Alicia has garnered recognition for a diverse range of roles. Alicia's sensitive portrayal of “Gerda Wegner” in Tom Hooper's THE DANISH GIRL resulted in her winning an Academy Award® for Best Supporting Actress. She was also seen in the lead female role in Alex Garland's award winning directorial debut, EX MACHINA. Alicia has recently completed filming the much anticipated reboot of TOMB RAIDER and will soon be seen in Wim Wenders' romantic thriller SUBMERGENCE, opposite James McAvoy. In addition, Alicia has EUPHORIA alongside Eva Green and Charles Dance coming up. As well as starring in the feature, she also produced it through her company Vikarious Productions. Both will be released this year, along with Justin Chadwick's TULIP FEVER, produced by The Weinstein Company.



Lisa Langseth

Lisa Langseth is a Swedish writer and director with a degree from Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. Primarily working in theatre during the mid-2000s, staging plays around Sweden, including at the Royal Dramatic Theatre and Riksteatern, she directed her debut film PURE in 2010, starring Alicia Vikander. The film won her a Guldbagge for Best Screenplay and a nomination for Best Director. Both reunited again in 2013, when she directed her second feature film, HOTELL, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Langseth will present together with producer and lead actress Alicia Vikander her latest project, EUPHORIA, starring Eva Green and Charlotte Rampling.

Christine Vachon

Christine Vachon is an Independent Spirit Award and Gotham Award winner who co-founded indie powerhouse Killer Films with partner Pamela Koffler in 1995. Over the past two decades, they have produced over 100 films and some of the most celebrated American indie features including: CAROL (nominated for six Academy Awards), FAR FROM HEAVEN (nominated for four Academy Awards), STILL ALICE (Academy Award winner), BOYS DON'T CRY (Academy Award winner), ONE HOUR PHOTO, KIDS, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, HAPPINESS, VELVET GOLDMINE, SAFE, I SHOT ANDY WARHOL, and I’M NOT THERE (Academy Award nominated). In television, Vachon executive-produced the Emmy and Golden Globe winning miniseries MILDRED PIERCE for HBO. Other recent work includes: GOAT, WEINER DOG, WHITE GIRL and BEATRIZ AT DINNER. Killer Films recently produced Z: THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING starring Christina Ricci for Amazon Studios, as well as Todd Haynes’ latest film, WONDERSTRUCK. They are currently in post-production on Paul Schrader's latest feature, FIRST REFORMED.

Vachon is also the director of the MFA program at Stony Brook University.

Kirsten Niehuus

Kirsten Niehuus has been the Managing Director of the Film Funding Department of the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg since 2004. Prior to that she worked in the film industry in various positions including as a lawyer for the German national film fund - Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA) in Berlin and then as the acting director of the FFA. She was also the German representative to Eurimages as well as its vice-president for two years. She is a board member of various institutions, such as German Films, the Deutscher Filmförderfonds
(DFFF) and the Kuratorium der Berliner Filmhochschule (dffb). From 2012 until July 2016 she served as a member of the ZDF-Fernsehrat. In 2013 she was honored with the French order “Chevalier of Arts and Literature” and in 2014 became honorary professor at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf where she teaches film funding and film policy.

Kim Jackson is the Co-Founder and President of Entertainment at SingularDTV. Prior to creating SingularDTV she served as a Producer and President of Evotion Media (formerly Streetwise Pictures), where she spearheaded the NYC-based film production company investor relations and award-winning production services for feature films. An accomplished producer, she began her career in Los Angeles at Disney/Touchstone, and has been intimately involved in numerous productions, including MUNICH directed by Steven Spielberg, CLICK directed by Frank Coraci and INSIDE MAN directed by Spike Lee. Kim studied Biochemistry and Environmental Science at Simmons College in Boston, and is an adjunct professor at the The New School University in Manhattan teaching "The Producers Craft", when she is not involved in a production. Ms. Jackson is honored to serve as a judge for the Student Academy Awards, Daytime Emmys and as a jury member for numerous student film festivals in New York.

Ed Guiney heads Element Pictures with Andrew Lowe, working across production, distribution, and exhibition. Current productions include Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER, Sebastián Lelio’s DISOBEDIENCE, THE FAVOURITE also directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and Lenny Abrahamson’s THE LITTLE STRANGER. Recent productions include ROOM which was nominated for four Academy Awards®. Other recent productions include Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE LOBSTER, which won the Jury Prize in Cannes and was nominated for an Academy Award® Original Screenplay. Guiney’s other production credits include FRANK, WHAT RICHARD DID, GARAGE and ADAM & PAUL (all directed by Lenny Abrahamson), SHADOW DANCER (James Marsh), THE GUARD (John Michael McDonagh), OMAGH (Pete Travis) and THE MAGDALENE SISTERS (Peter Mullan).


Anke Beining

Anke Beining is the Founder and Managing Director of Utofilm and Interim Managing Director of Munich-based world sales company Global Screen.  On behalf of Teleclub she has co-produced over 40 feature films and series. From 2011 to 2015 Anke was Board Member, MD and COO of Switzerland's leading Digital TV and Media Platform Teleclub. During this time she managed Teleclub’s Pay TV Channels and VOD service, launched new German- and French-language platforms and TV channels. Prior to that and for ten years, she was an Executive Board Member of The Walt Disney Company in Munich where she oversaw legal and business affairs for all divisions and was responsible for TV-channel Distribution and Affiliate Sales in German-speaking Europe. Earlier achievements include implementing Kinowelt’s international production and distribution network and organizing Senator Film’s IPO. An expert in the international content business, she is admitted to the bar in New York and Germany and holds a PhD in law.

In 2013, Zach moved to New York to become a part of the decentralization phenomenon. Zach wrote and directed his first feature film, THE SCIENTIST, starring Bill Sage. He then launched a women's luxury clothing line, building the brand from 4 stores to 110 throughout the United States and Canada. Zach was deeply influenced by an expedition to the Amazon rainforest that he took at 17, after which he spent the next 15 years living and traveling abroad to more than 50 countries on 5 continents.
