Thomas Ebeling

Thomas Ebeling was born in 1959. After earning a degree in psychology from Hamburg University, he began his career with Reemtsma in 1987. In 1991, he moved to Pepsi-Cola Germany, where he served as a marketing manager. Starting in 1994, he was National Sales and Franchise Director for the retail and restaurant sales of Pepsi-Cola, and in 1996, he was appointed General Manager of Pepsi-Cola Germany. In 1997, he switched to Novartis as General Manager of Novartis Nutrition for Germany and Austria. In 1998, Thomas Ebeling assumed worldwide leadership of the Novartis Nutrition Division. In 1998, he was appointed to the Novartis Executive Committee. From 2000 to October 2007, he served as CEO of the global Novartis pharmaceuticals business. Under his leadership, the company's revenues more than doubled from US$11 billion to US$22.6 billion. In October 2007, he was appointed CEO of the Novartis Consumer Health Division. Since March 2009, he is CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE. Thomas Ebeling was appointed to the Supervisory Board of Bayer AG in 2012. Since April 2017 he has been member of the Supervisory Board of GfK SE.

Christine Vachon

Christine Vachon is an Independent Spirit Award and Gotham Award winner who co-founded indie powerhouse Killer Films with partner Pamela Koffler in 1995. Over the past two decades, they have produced over 100 films and some of the most celebrated American indie features including: CAROL (nominated for six Academy Awards), FAR FROM HEAVEN (nominated for four Academy Awards), STILL ALICE (Academy Award winner), BOYS DON'T CRY (Academy Award winner), ONE HOUR PHOTO, KIDS, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, HAPPINESS, VELVET GOLDMINE, SAFE, I SHOT ANDY WARHOL, and I’M NOT THERE (Academy Award nominated). In television, Vachon executive-produced the Emmy and Golden Globe winning miniseries MILDRED PIERCE for HBO. Other recent work includes: GOAT, WEINER DOG, WHITE GIRL and BEATRIZ AT DINNER. Killer Films recently produced Z: THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING starring Christina Ricci for Amazon Studios, as well as Todd Haynes’ latest film, WONDERSTRUCK. They are currently in post-production on Paul Schrader's latest feature, FIRST REFORMED.

Vachon is also the director of the MFA program at Stony Brook University.

Janus Metz

Janus Metz is a Danish director and documentary filmmaker. Alongside finishing a Master’s degree in Visual Anthropology he moved to South Africa and filmed his debut documentary Township Boys (2005). Shortly after this he made the double feature film project Love on Delivery (2008) and Ticket to Paradise (2008), which won the prize for ‘Best Documentary’ at Nordic Film Days. He stepped firmly into the international limelight with the documentary Armadillo (2010) winning the Grand Prix at the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes, Best International Documentary at ZFF and a range of other international awards. Metz went on to direct the episode “Maybe Tomorrow” of the critically acclaimed TV-series True Detective and is now presenting his narrative feature debut Borg/McEnroe, the opening film of both the 13th Zurich Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.

Kim Jackson

Kim Jackson is the Co-Founder and President of Entertainment at SingularDTV. Prior to creating SingularDTV she served as a Producer and President of Evotion Media (formerly Streetwise Pictures), where she spearheaded the NYC-based film production company investor relations and award-winning production services for feature films. An accomplished producer, she began her career in Los Angeles at Disney/Touchstone, and has been intimately involved in numerous productions, including MUNICH directed by Steven Spielberg, CLICK directed by Frank Coraci and INSIDE MAN directed by Spike Lee. Kim studied Biochemistry and Environmental Science at Simmons College in Boston, and is an adjunct professor at the The New School University in Manhattan teaching "The Producers Craft", when she is not involved in a production. Ms. Jackson is honored to serve as a judge for the Student Academy Awards, Daytime Emmys and as a jury member for numerous student film festivals in New York.

Current productions include Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER, Sebastián Lelio’s DISOBEDIENCE, THE FAVOURITE also directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and Lenny Abrahamson’s THE LITTLE STRANGER. Recent productions include ROOM which was nominated for four Academy Awards®. Other recent productions include Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE LOBSTER, which won the Jury Prize in Cannes and was nominated for an Academy Award® Original Screenplay. In 2013, Zach moved to New York to become a part of the decentralization phenomenon. Zach wrote and directed his first feature film, THE SCIENTIST, starring Bill Sage. Zach was deeply influenced by an expedition to the Amazon rainforest that he took at 17, after which he spent the next 15 years living and traveling abroad to more than 50 countries on 5 continents.

Mathias Ruch

As an entrepreneur and angel investor, Mathias Ruch has been involved in the digital startup scene for 20 years. During the dot-com boom in the late 90’s, he founded a web design agency and developed community tools for corporates. Around this time, the idea for a TV show called «Joya rennt» was formed. It was licensed in multiple countries overseas. The show became the corner stone for the production company FaroTV which Mathias founded and led as CEO. When he exited FaroTV to Condor Films in 2006, he developed a smart capital investment model and started angel investing. Today, he is the founder and Managing Partner of Lakeside Partners, a Zug-based early-stage investment group with a focus on blockchain technology and its applications. As the driving force behind the Crypto Valley Labs, he is committed to developing the Swiss blockchain ecosystem.

Ronnie Sandahl

Ronnie Sandahl, born 1984, is a Swedish screenwriter and director. In Scandinavia he was first known as a novelist, before the Swedish-Norwegian drama "Underdog" (winner of Critics Award at Zürich Film Festival 2014) marked his debut as a writer-director. "Borg/McEnroe" isthe first film he wrote for someone else to direct.
