Kirsten Niehuus

Kirsten Niehuus has been the Managing Director of the Film Funding Department of the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg since 2004. Prior to that she worked in the film industry in various positions including as a lawyer for the German national film fund - Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA) in Berlin and then as the acting director of the FFA. She was also the German representative to Eurimages as well as its vice-president for two years. She is a board member of various institutions, such as German Films, the Deutscher Filmförderfonds
(DFFF) and the Kuratorium der Berliner Filmhochschule (dffb). From 2012 until July 2016 she served as a member of the ZDF-Fernsehrat. In 2013 she was honored with the French order “Chevalier of Arts and Literature” and in 2014 became honorary professor at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf where she teaches film funding and film policy.

Current productions include Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER, Sebastián Lelio’s DISOBEDIENCE, THE FAVOURITE also directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and Lenny Abrahamson’s THE LITTLE STRANGER. Recent productions include ROOM which was nominated for four Academy Awards®. Other recent productions include Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE LOBSTER, which won the Jury Prize in Cannes and was nominated for an Academy Award® Original Screenplay. Arie Levy-Cohen has more than two decades of experience in international investment banking, financial advisory and generational wealth management. He is also a recognized global expert in blockchain technology, financing and smart contract systems. 

Blockhaus is creating a platform to set the standard in blockchain property creation and distribution. In addition Mr. Levy Cohen is also the founder of Singular DTV, a blockchain based, decentralized entertainment management platform. 



John Lesher

John Lesher is the founder and President of Le Grisbi Productions, an independent film and television production company. In 2015, he won an Academy Award for Best Motion Picture for producing BIRDMAN. Other works include BLACK MASS (2015) and FURY (2014). Lesher is a graduate of Harvard University and began his career as an agent at
the Bauer-Benedek Agency. He is also a founding partner of Superprime, a production company specializing in commercials, branded content, and innovative film. In 2005, Lesher left Endeavor to form Paramount Vantage, where he was responsible for such films as BABEL, AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, THERE WILL BE BLOOD, and NO COUNTRY FOR
OLD MEN. In 2008, he was appointed President of Paramount Pictures. During that time,
he guided the studio to 49 Academy Award nominations, 13 wins, and 1 Best Picture.

define and lead the Virtual industry. She was recently named as a leading female pioneer in
VR by Marie Claire Magazine, awarded The Voice a Woman Award for her pioneering creative
work in Virtual reality and was Featured in Campaign Top 30 Women creative trailblazers redefining
adland.
