Thorsten Schumacher

Thorsten Schumacher initially started his career in the music business where he founded and ran Sponge, an alternative music magazine. His work in film production started at Roger Corman’s Concorde-New Horizon Pictures in Los Angeles, various independent features in New York City followed, and eventually he worked at Wim Wender’s company Road Movies in Berlin. He holds two Master of Fine Arts degrees in producing from the Film University Babelsberg and the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles. He worked in development at the LA offices of Intermedia Films before relocating to London in 2003. He has been with Hanway Films since and runs the company as its Managing Director since 2011.

Michael Shamberg is the producer of A Walk Among the Tombstones starring Liam Neeson and Wish I Was Here directed by and starring Zach Braff, both premiering at the ZFF. He is currently in production on the independently financed Freeheld starring Julianne Moore and Ellen Page, and an untitled comedy about an American chef in London, directed by John Wells and starring Bradley Cooper. Shamberg's other credits include Django Unchained, Contagion, World Trade Center, Out of Sight, Get Shorty, Gatta- ca, Garden State, Reality Bites, Pulp Fiction, The Big Chill and A Fish Called Wanda.

Her role involves expanding the business through new products, maximizing distribution, creating partnerships and developing brand platforms. Prior to that, Sriraman was President and CEO for Palisades Tartan US and UK, a premiere distributor of independent and arthouse cinema. She was named among Home Media Magazine’s "40 Under 40 executives" in September 2011. Her previous position was Senior Vice President at Vivendi, Universal Music and Video Distribution’s film entertainment arm and, before that, she held positions at Warner Home Video and Universal Home Entertainment.
