Kirsten Niehuus


Kirsten Niehuus has been the Managing Director of the Film Funding Department of the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg since 2004. Prior to that she worked in the film industry in various positions including as a lawyer for the German national film fund - Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA) in Berlin and then as the acting director of the FFA. She was also the German representative to Eurimages as well as its vice-president for two years. She is a board member of various institutions, such as German Films, the Deutscher Filmförderfonds
(DFFF) and the Kuratorium der Berliner Filmhochschule (dffb). From 2012 until July 2016 she served as a member of the ZDF-Fernsehrat. In 2013 she was honored with the French order “Chevalier of Arts and Literature” and in 2014 became honorary professor at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf where she teaches film funding and film policy.

Ed Guiney


Ed Guiney heads Element Pictures with Andrew Lowe, working across production, distribution, and exhibition. Current productions include Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER, Sebastián Lelio’s DISOBEDIENCE, THE FAVOURITE also directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and Lenny Abrahamson’s THE LITTLE STRANGER. Recent productions include ROOM which was nominated for four Academy Awards®. Other recent productions include Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE LOBSTER, which won the Jury Prize in Cannes and was nominated for an Academy Award® Original Screenplay. Guiney’s other production credits include FRANK, WHAT RICHARD DID, GARAGE and ADAM & PAUL (all directed by Lenny Abrahamson), SHADOW DANCER (James Marsh), THE GUARD (John Michael McDonagh), OMAGH (Pete Travis) and THE MAGDALENE SISTERS (Peter Mullan).

Jean Marc Fröhle


Founded in 1996, Point Prod specializes in audiovisual productions of all formats (features, documentaries, flux, magazines, TV, news). In 2005, the company created a development and production unit for features (television and cinema) led by Jean-Marc Fröhle. Point Prod has meanwhile become a major player in the field of feature development, production and co-production in Switzerland and Europe, in cooperation with Swiss and European broadcasters. Since 2011, Jean-Marc Fröhle developed and produced five successful original series. Last productions : « Anomalia" (2015) and "Banking district » ( 2017, « Winter Palace » is his next show in development.

Urs Fitze


Urs Fitze, head of the fiction department at SRF since 2011, is responsible for TV-Series, TV-Movies, Cinema Coproductions and the radio drama for Swiss Radio. “Der Bestatter” (The Undertaker), the most successful crime series in Switzerland, received several awards in Switzerland. The TV-Event Movie “Gotthard” (2016) has been the most successful fictional program of the year.

Urs Fitze graduated with a Master in cinematography and audiovisual studies at the University Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris III. After university, he started working for Swiss Television in Zurich. As a director, editor and program developer he created some of the most successful programs for Swiss Television.
